Bluetooth Low Energy – the digital Swiss knife – part 3b

Bluetooth Low Energy - BLE- applications

Bluetooth Low Energy – BLE- applications

Climbing on stairways was another very funny game for my daughter. She could not walk, only crawl. No steps were too high for her. When we turned around, she was on her way. Once a day on holiday she smiled at us from the second floor of a mansion. The pursuits of the railing were so far apart that she could fall through. With a Bluetooth Low Energy beacon it would have been possible to detect an out of range earlier and could save my fast run from lower floor to second floor. The app on the smart-phone could detect an out of range and start an alarm.

And those who want to listen to me about BLE and opportunities are welcome to stay on 5th February at the IoT Meetup in Munich. You will learn about BLE, you can touch and play with inexpensive BLE beacons, and on top you have a chance to win such BLE beacons during the event.

If you can’t make it and run an own IoT Meetup group or Google User group – then do not hesitate to email me at harald.naumann (at) gsm-modem.de
