Pay As You Drive device in size of a matchbox

Developers intent on designing a matchbox sized Pay as you drive device has now a golden opportunity to do just that. Our evaluation kit contains all of necessary smart parts. The tiny parts include the “GPS module 11x30” (1125 mm³) and “GPS module 14x14” (1387 mm³) with embedded GPS antenna. The “GSM module 22x22“ (1452 mm³), which is capable of transmitting geodata as text messages or GPRS on four different bands and can react to incoming messages. It uses the embedded GSM antenna with dimensions of 581 mm³ only. As option the SIM card is no longer plugged into the unit but soldered in place in the form of a tiny SIM on chip (27 mm³). Thus the space occupied by the main parts has been reduced five times from 16000 mm³ to 3200 mm³. Everything fits into a matchbox-sized case.  A complete Pay as you drive device will be smaller than standard window mounted GSM / GPS antenna.

Remark on the Pay As You Drive device evaluation kit

The upper mentioned Pay as you go evaluation kit is a selection of three basic starter kits (GSM module, GPS module plus GSM antenna). The combined GPS antenna module can be the “T -version” or the planar version. It is just a proposal that can be changed and customised to your needs.
