With the Quectel BG77, anyone can now develop his or her own wristwatch with a cellular radio. With dimensions at only 14 mm x 15 mm, building a locating device in a matchbox is now possible. Since GNSS and cellular can be connected to one antenna interface, only one antenna is necessary. An external MCU is also unnecessary for the Quectel BG77. An ARM Cortex A7 with plenty of memory is available. The operating voltage ranges from 2.4 Volt to 4.8 Volt. In idle mode, the Quectel BG77 requires only approx. 2.4 uA. We started the pre-development of the small antennas 12 months ago.
