I. Size of GSM ceramic chip antenna<\/h3>\n

The size of the ceramic GSM chip antenna is 21 x 7 x 3 mm only. The distance for the selected ceramic chip antenna to the ground plane has to be to be 7 mm. There is a need for a gap of 2mm between the antenna and the plastic enclosure as well.<\/p>\n

18.3 mm – 2 mm for the distance to the plastic enclosure – 3 mm for the antenna – 7 mm means, that there is still 7.3 mm left. The 7.3 mm can be used to design some more ground area to place some components for the matching circuit.<\/p>\n

II. Ceramic GSM chip antenna with distance to the enclosure<\/h3>\n

The ceramic GSM chip antenna with is distance to the plastic enclosure will need 5 mm only.<\/p>\n

III. Free space for GSM ceramic chip antenna<\/h3>\n

A part of the free space can be use to place some capacitors or inductors for the matching circuit. Worst case we will have a need for three parts (Pi-circuit).<\/p>\n

The recommended antenna could fit on the free space left. Please take care, that the screws left and right of the antenna will me made with plastic.
