This architecture supports several protocols:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Nordic&#8217;s proprietary Gazel<\/li>\n<li>ANT<\/li>\n<li>Bluetooth Low Energy (BT Smart)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It was claimed that the nRF51 will cut the power consumption by as much as half for some applications compared to the current nRF24L Series. The nRF8001 has a peak current of 11 mA only. Does much as half mean less than 5 mA for nRF51? The answer we will get on 28<sup>th<\/sup>. of June.
