I do not remember how often I have drawn such a sketch at a customer&#8217;s office. It is time to change this waste of time and to start with an antenna proposal gallery online.<\/p>\n<p>The GSM PIFA antenna is &#8220;flying&#8221; over the ground plane. If the antenna shape is flying over the ground plane, then the metal chassis of a car or machine will not interfere much with the antenna. The same antenna types are can be used for dog collars, belts or wristbands of watches. Such GSM PIFA antennas will radiate directionally. If the antenna is mounted on water (the human body or the dog is mainly water), then it makes no sense the radiate omnidirectional. An omnidirectional radio wave will just be absorbed by the water close by. The drawback is that such antennas are not available out of the shelf.
